Color analysis is an essential tool for a coordinated and timeless wardrobe. It's the best strategy for stopping spending money on pieces that don't suit you or on makeup you never wear. Once you've identified your ideal color palette, your choices will always be simple and consistent.
How does a colorimetry session unfold?
We start with what's already there: your skin, your eyes, and your natural hair color. Then, we use calibrated fabrics under natural lighting to observe how color interacts with your face in real time. Each palette is evaluated based on its impact on brightness, shadows, and skin texture, as well as the sparkle in your eyes and overall harmony.
We then identify:
✔ Your perfect palette and its characteristics;
✔ your ideal neutral colors;
✔ your signature colours;
✔ your best metallic finishes for jewelry and accessories;
✔ all options of your choice, according to your needs (styling based on facial morphology, makeup or hair coloring).
You will receive the following in the days following your session:
✔ complete color charts obtained during the session;
✔ Detailed results with tips to easily identify your colors;
✔ Styling tips specific to your season and signature colors;
✔ Colour guidance for your makeup and hair colouring.

The classic seasonal color analysis is the most widely known in the world. This system is based first on the characteristic of a skin tone being more "warm" or "cool" before branching out to determine your perfect palette. The seasons are sometimes subdivided into 4, 12, 16, or 23 seasons.
Karen Brunger, founder of the International Image Institute in Toronto and my mentor, is a pioneer in colorimetry and developed the 23-season color system, the most accurate of all. I identify your best palette from among these 23 to achieve the widest possible range of nuances.
This is the consultation for you if:
🌈 You prefer the simplicity of obtained a single palette covering a wide variety of different brightnesses and saturations for your daily styling choices;
🌈 you would like to be able to consult a lot of online resources and social media once you obtain your exact season with us;
🌈 you feel it's sufficient to have general recommendations about makeup and hair coloring according to your season (which is the case for most people).

I am the only Cocory-certified Color Curator consultant offering an authentic Korean tonal colorimetry experience in Quebec.
The specific features of this method:
✔ Use of a patented device to measure the exact undertones of your skin
✔Deliveries of four palettes (one ideal and three secondary for variety) that are based primarily on brightness and saturation (less contrast between hues) than the Western ones
✔ 16 specialized makeup palettes to identify the most harmonious shades for you
✔ Hair draping colors with specific instructions for your hair colorist.
This is a very precise and exact process though not necessarily much lengthier than our traditional color analysis. It's the consultation for you if:
🌈 You have a visual preference for the Korean palettes, which contrast less with eachother than the Western palettes, and prefer to obtain four different-looking palettes for seasonal rotation, although three of them will be ''secondary'' ones;
🌈 You have an good eye for color and nuance;
🌈 You prefer to have a highly precise color analysis based on your skin tone measurements for clothes, makeup and hair that leaves little space for error;
🌈 You are Asian and would prefer a system that has been elaborated and studied on over 40 000 Asian complexions (rather than the Western system).

Studio Écru is the only studio in Quebec to offer this integrated approach. This service was developed to offer what I consider the most complete and coherent option for clients who want clarity in both wardrobe and makeup colors—within a single, structured session.
Traditionally, Cocory tools are only available during Korean color analysis sessions. I've chosen to integrate them into a classic color analysis to make this level of precision more accessible to clients who prefer classic palettes but want a more effective, precise, and structured analysis of their skin.
The session also includes an assessment of your natural contrast level and a discussion of prints and patterns as well as hair color options, ensuring true coherence between your wardrobe, color and styling choices. These elements are, in my opinion, essential to perfectly complement the clarity provided by a basic color analysis session.
My signature session includes:

✔ Handing over a classic palette from the 23 seasons after a complete classic analysis;
✔ Draping of Cocory's specialized hair color and makeup palettes to identify the most harmonious shades for you;

Your color analysis helps identify ideal makeup shades for blush, lips, and eyes. We'll give you tips on how to visually identify them with several examples in person. We have a wide variety of shades for you to try on-site. We can also take the time to assess your personal products to see if they suit your color profile, if you wish.
