my story

My name is Catherine, I am a family doctor specializing in pediatrics, I have three children… and I have always been passionate about colors.

Studio Écru was born when I realized that my love for accurate diagnoses could be combined with my passion for color and its thousand shades.

This is the culmination of many years spent searching for the perfect way to flourish in my creative potential and entrepreneurial desire, while remaining a doctor on a daily basis.

I've tried to channel my love of color and aesthetics into interior and event design, creating palettes for dyeing silk baby carriers, and then jewelry making. Now, I find that my obsessive eye for color is only too happy to flourish in the study of individual colorimetry. This is a structured, logical, and organized approach that requires a discerning eye and sound judgment for harmony and visual coherence. It's the perfect marriage of my obsessive personality and my creative potential (and, incidentally, my inability to draw)!

I sincerely hope to be able to share and pass on my passion by helping my clients discover the palettes that best suit them, to highlight their natural beauty more easily and, in doing so, to simplify their lives.

my story

A unique, in-depth, and personalized approach

Those who know me know I don't do anything halfway. I was driven into color analysis by passion and interest, not by a desire for a new career. Following my standardized training, I delved deeper into my research to develop my consulting services to better meet my personal standards of quality. This resulted in an evaluation sequence developed using colorimetry tools from leading schools worldwide, featuring a variety of colors that are on-trend for 2025. I meticulously assembled and categorized these colors. They are also identifiable by Pantone coding for greater reproducibility.

My training is complete

I am proud to be the only person in Quebec certified in two personal colorimetry systems. These systems originate from two continents with beauty standards that differ in several aspects:

(1) 23 Seasons System of the International Image Institute (Color Analysis Mastery In-Person Course during the Advanced Image Mastery Course), Toronto.

(2) Formal Color Curator certification from system CCCS of Cocory Color, Seoul (South Korea).

These two systems, although very different, complement each other through their theories based on different foundations and the achievement of different yet harmonious results. The traditional system is strong in its experience; Cocory is strong in its development based on objective data from over 40,000 people.

This knowledge allows me to have a more discerning eye and a tailored approach for each client based on their individual features, thus meeting the diverse needs of the multicultural population of the greater Montreal area. I'm very proud of that!

As a McGill University medical graduate, you can be assured of my high standards of accuracy, rigor, and perfection. Combine that with my certification from two internationally renowned colorimetry schools, and I sincerely hope you will place your trust in me!

My values

  • Inclusivity: I strive to approach every client with a respectful and non-judgmental attitude, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or culture. I am fluent in French, English, and Vietnamese, and I can also communicate fairly well in Spanish. You decide, and I adapt to you.

  • Minimalism: In my opinion, color analysis is a smart investment for reducing your long-term consumption, whether it's for your clothes or beauty products. I won't encourage you to spend more than necessary if you already have what you need, and I'll only recommend services I deem appropriate for you. I also want to provide you with reliable tools that deliver lasting results so you're well-equipped for the long term.

I guarantee you...

  • Professionalism : I want to offer you a pleasant moment of discovery in a friendly environment and atmosphere.

  • Objectivity : In medicine, we learn to meet each new patient and listen attentively to their story without ever making a preconceived diagnosis. It is with this perspective that I plan to assess each of my clients, one at a time; starting from scratch without presuming anything about your capabilities, and applying my approach systematically and meticulously to find the most accurate and appropriate outcome possible.

  • Time : I place great importance on the accuracy of my results, the rigor of my approach, and the quality of my training. If in doubt, we will continue to take the time to double-check to ensure my assessment and find the colors that best enhance your natural beauty.

The color analysis pearls : results for life

  • It's clear to me that there's nothing more frustrating than vague and difficult-to-apply advice. That's why I'll take the time to explain how to recognize your colors in the most effective way possible!

  • In medicine, we value what we call "clinical pearls"—small, clear, concrete, concise, and easy-to-remember pieces of information that will make all the difference in your understanding of your own colorimetry and how to make simpler choices in the future. I'll give you as many as possible!

  • Post-color analysis services are available if you would like additional help in developing your wardrobe or makeup kit in the future.

Looking forward to meeting you!
